I attend a motorcycle meet-up group in Knoxville, Tennessee, but as most of us find that when the temp drops the amount of Hard Core riders are fewer and fewer.  So what we have done to keep interest up in our club we have social events scheduled for at least once a month.  We pick a different restaurant and we have dinner and a social time where we ALWAYS talk about riding and what new things we've purchased for our bikes.  That time is also when we plan some of our summer time rides.

Now I am the only Burgman rider in this group (So Far), but I know there is alot of interest in my ride. 2008-650.

Plan social time and get to know your friends.  They look alot different with out their helmets.
