While the power mirrors may be useful if you do a lot of riding where you have to go thru tight spaces, not common for most of us, they are really useful to let you put the bike away in a small space in your garage or barn.
The moveable windshield lets you answer the question do you want to look thru or over the windscreen? The answer with the Exec is BOTH. Buy the correct size Clearview and you look over it when it's down and thru it when it's up for higher speeds. You can even tune it for special conditions like rain where I run it about half way down on the highway in heavy rain to keep my face plate clearer and noise levels down.
The ABS Brakes (note spelling it's not breaks or breaking it's brakes and braking) have saved me a major go down at least once and maybe twice. To me that is worth the extra cost of the bike. A single bad go down even if you are not hurt can cost five to seven thousand dollars to repair the bike. At that point the extra you paid up front to buy it seems pretty small potatos.

Wja02,
One correction in your exec evaluation. I have an exec with a Clearview XL windscreen and the electric screen operates just fine with it. I love the fact I can move the screen way up at higher speeds and down at slower speeds. It make a big difference.

I bought the 650 Exec in June. I use the electric mirrors daily as I'm in and out of traffic. The Burgy is a wide bike, pulling the mirrors in at the push of a button shrinks it in seconds, so you can get in between cars. When you pop out the other other end, you hit the blue button and mirrors move back in place as you ride. The mirrors were a real 'deal maker' for me, it makes the bike a very attractive proposition.
ABS is also a must have for safety. Spend the extra…you won't regret it, and it'll improve the resale value too!

I bought the Burgman 650. The Exec is about $1100 dollars more. With the Exec you get ABS breaks (further breaking distance like on our cars), power mirrors (I can reach forward and fold them in myself when parking in tight spaces), Power up & down window (travel distance is only 2.5 inches), a back rest and a chrome muffler. For the $1100 dollar savings I had planned to replace the window anyway with a Clearview vented window, so the power window feature really won't work once I replace it. And I plan to add a Givi trunk which I will have to remove the back rest anyway. So unless your just into the ABS brakes, save the $1100 dollars and spend them on additions you will probably do later, anyway. Like you, I did the debate and thought about the additions to come later. This may help you make up your mind.

I happen to ride the exec and I don't find much value in the folding mirrors except when I'm on a long hot road I have been known to fold them in to cool my hands.
The moveable windscreen is a nice feature and trust me, the ABS work great. I had to use them the other day and came to a perfect, albeit very short, stop.

The new 650 E also has heated seats as well ( depending on where you live to be of use!) But Main reason is to have the ABS breaking as there are a load of bad cage drivers out there!
The powered mirrors are good for filtering and also you can put a larger screen on the bike for better protection (but only if you are tall! If short leave origonal on as you wont see through it if raining etc)

After looking at a bunch of diffrent bikes I am stuck on the 650 Burg. My thing is is there a reason to buy the Exec over the standard 650??
I ride a K8 400 which is a nice basic bike, but after visiting the shops and attending a scooter rally I think the 650 is going to be my next bike. I looked at a stock 650 in the shop and the main differences seem to be the exec has abs, powered side mirrors, powered windscreen adjustments. what's the price difference between a standard 650 vs an exec version?
