Ok If your 650 has a dry clutch like the 400 has then your oil choices appears much more open. Remember the primary reason we use special motorcycle oils is for the increased friction that must be present for the "wet clutch" to not spin the clutch plates. At least that is the theory. Less friction means less wear on engine parts. It follows then the engines runs longer between overhauls with less friction. Yes there is some other trace elements that may not be friction modifiers in motorcycle oil, there usefullness is a matter for engineers to debate. With regular motorcycles with wet clutches the engine oils I used were motorcycle mobil 1. In my atuomobiles, and trucks I use auto Mobil 1. It follows then that auto Mobil 1 should work fine in the 650 and 400 burgmans since no wet clutch.
Thinking about this more the people to ask would be Ducati owners the majority of which models are dry clutch designs.
I hope I did not muddy the issue for you
Keep the windshield up best wishes.
