Great Time to Buy a Burgman

I got a great deal on my 400.  The dealer in Little Rock had an '05 on the lot for $4,200 and would sell it to me for $3,700.  I checked around and found that the dealer in Hot Springs had the same year, color, and close to same mileage for $2,500.  I bought that one.  He said that he had it for awhile and needed to move it off the lot.  That was my sign that I was going to get to ride my dream scooter after all!  Oh and best part it came at the same time as our tax returns!  Laugh

Definitely some super deals out there. Particularly it seems with the 2008 650s . Not a great color selection, but alot of low mileage scoots.  Low prices on that new of a series depresses  values across the board and keeps dealers from turning inventory.  I agree its the horrible economic and jobs situation.  Great time to buy if you have great prospects of keeping a job.  Ebay and Craig's List are  carrying lots of great buys on all kinds of cycles.

I would pick one up my self, but the more freeway riding I do, the more I lean toward getting something with ABS.  Perhaps a 650 Executive will be in my future. . .

I just bought a 2008 black Burgman 650, 2025 mile, mint, LoJack, and a $2,000 maintenance contract for $5,400. It didn't sell on Ebay for the $7,000 he was asking so I made an offer and it was mine. There are great deals out there.

I've been watching the prices for used Burgmans in the "For Sale" section of the site. I can't believe the deals that are available.

When I was at the dealership a week or so ago there was a guy getting his 400 ready to sell. He said he needed the cash.

While it is sad to see Burgmans being sold because people are in a bad spot, it does present a great time to buy one if you can.

Anyone else noticed the same thing?

My one claim to fame here, I'm the guy that started the BurgmanRiders.com site.
