Judging by the number of posts…or lack thereof…it seems everyone is out riding!
I know I am
Since buying my 2008 Burgman 400 in March, I have put over 5800 miles on it. And seeing as how it was still snowing in March and April in Michigan at the time, that's a lot of road time!
It has officially become my 'summer' vehicle. I do ride, rain or shine. Unless it's POURING out, but I still take my chances.
I rode down to Kentucky with a group on Memorial Day. I rode with all the 'big bikes' and had no complaints on keeping up. Dry Ridge Kentucky has nothing but 'S' curves and hills and is a BLAST to ride!
Unfortunately I did dump my precious bike while down there. Went to stop on a slight hill that was dirt and rocks/gravel and it was very uneven. Went to put my foot down and there was NO ground beneath me! By the time I found solid footing, I was over too far to hold the bike up and over we went. Got some unsightly scratches, but no major damage. But I did get some bruises that had the exact shape of some of those Kentucky rocks!
But…since then, there have been no other mishaps. My son even rides on the back with me! And I ride….EVERYWHERE.
Having more fun than should be allowed and wanting to go on another trip soon!
Happy riding!!
