Hey Rabbi

Another great item is the" Canyon Dancer" they work on the handle bars they are straps with cups and they pull in opposite directions with cups on each handle bar grip I used them and nothing else is required to move a bike. I have a 600.You also need two adjustable ratcheting straps to fasten to bed or trailers as the Canyon dancer is only 3-4 feet long and thick nylon with 2 loops for tie downs. I got mine at my Suzuki dealership. Also another tip is to put a couple of shop rags on the chrome ends of handle bars as not to scratch them the cups are hard Plastic.

Rabbi

When you want to tie the scooter down to a trailer or pickup.  Look up near the rear of your seat and there are some handling point lugs.  They keep the scooter from going from side to side. The only other place I like to tie down is the front wheel.  NOT the handle bars.  I lash the wheel to a chock or something very solid. Doing it this way uses the scooters shocks to take some of the bumps and not the handle bars.

Glad you could use the info.

Very good!  Way to go John time for the Ms to drop it on the other side.Laugh  Glad to be of help.

Chet, your handlebar page was just what I needed also.  I made the mistake of strapping the handlebars too tightly and they slipped!  The Burgman was also secured on the trailer at the back, so fortunately it stayed in place.  I was afraid I had bent or broken something, but all seems to be well again.  I need more info on how to secure the scooter for trailering.  I bring it to TN from VA for holidays with my family.  Hope you had a good Thanksgiving; thanks again for your timely information.

This is a photo from the manual for the 2005 may not be the same. The type of fasteners are the same so if nothing else look for the fasteners and take care not to drop and lose them.

My wife recently dropped my Burgman 400.  It didn't do much damage but the left hand cluster (brake, reservoir, etc) has been move out of position on the handlebar.  I can't figure out how to remove the plastic covering that spans the handlebar so I can adjust the cluster back to normal.  Can anyone help?

thanks,

John
