Below are pictures of a third brake light I ended up making myself for my 650 using plastic from a 2 gallon oil jug I got free from a local Bob Cat equipment dealer. The LED strip I purchased from Harbor Freight, but can be purchased much, much cheaper including shipping on eBay. I folded the light strip in half and stuck it together with 3M double sided trim adhesive. Then attached it to the plastic with the same adhesive. The whole thing is attached by a tab on the rear of the hood that is tucked between the back rest plastic and the back rest cushion. The tab was secured to the back rest plastic using the double sided adhesive. The brake light is super bright.

Sorry, I should also have mentioned the system I have installed. Two Wheel Touring (TWT) sells many safety lighting solutions, but the one I have installed consists of their Dual LED License Plate Surround and a Back Off Wig Wag. See http://www.twtouring.com/safet…..ghting.htm and scroll down.
This is a license plate cover braket with a row of LEDs top and bottom. Add the Wig Wag and when the brakes are applied the top and bottom flash alternately. After several flashes they flash together and then stay on. I've had drivers comment on how visible it is.
SOmeone also sells a similar license plate cover with LEDs on the sides as well, but I thought it was TWT but don't see it now on the page I listed above.
Hope this helps.

Yes, although you'll have to look for it and it needs either a rear luggage rack or a top box mount to be mounted under.
There are several companies that make an LED tail light that is multi functional, When braking the centre section turns very bright red. When using turn signals the appropriate end (about a third of the bar) turns bright yellow and when just riding the centre section has a scanning function like a Cylon's eyes. The resulting movement is very visible.
These bars are approximately one inch high and 10 inches long. Mounting them under the back edge of either a luggage rack or a top case mount is quite easily done.
I can't give you a specific make and model because there are quite a few companies selling them.

Guess not. I'm interested in one too. While showing it off to another motorcyclist he commented on that. How about WigWag's? Maybe I'll go over to Kriss's site and see. I have them on my GoldWing and it is a comforting thought knowing they are flashing like a squad car when I brake.

Can anyone tell me if there's an after market LED third brake light that can be easily installed on a Burgman 650 that looks nice?
