“My husband and older son have motorcycles and I did not like riding on the back…very unexciting. After lots of research and prayer, (tee, hee), we decided a Burgman would be a great choice for my first, and possibly only, bike to join in the fun! I took my safety course, passed, and have been practicing since October. I girled it up a bit and am having a lot of fun. Hope you like my pics! Chriss”

This year’s color (only one color available here) is dark metallic gray. Very smart.

Just getting used to it, having traded up from a 250cc.

“Hi everyone, this is the first Danson Trike conversion in Australia. Todd from Rocky Mountain Conversions has been great nothing is too much trouble. The top box is a Bestem approx $100US and followed the directions from the Burgman USA site posted by LeDude (very indepth snd informative), we have also put a peice of aluminium under it to hold the Radio antenae and a flag pole. The seat extension I found on this site in the accessories from ebay, it came from Cruiser back rest and is very comfy cost approx $66 US. I am looking forward to plenty of happy rides in Oz.”

“This is my 06 Danson Burgman 650 Trike. It has Progressive air shocks on the trike, IKON shocks on the scoot, RaceTech springs and cartridge emulators, a Bridgestone Potenza car tire on the back of the scooter, Givi topbox, extra tall Clearview shield with vent, wood trim kit. I also have a Blue 03 650 Burgy!

I actually have 3 Burgs now, including a sidecar rig!”

“This is my 4th Burgman 650. I just bought it this week, and it came with a Texas sidecar (standard model), a Givi topbox and extra tall Clearview shield with vent. It is an 04.”

Thank you Judy for sending in a photo of the new bike. You will have a lot of fun riding it. The Burgman is a hell of a great ride and Burgman riders are the nicest group of people you will meet, beside Gold Wing riders of course.

Here is what Judy said:

“I picked up my new 2009 Burgman 650 up on Sat. Oct 31. I’m a first time driver/owner. My boyfriend has a Goldwing and I love riding behind him but thought this would be a fun challenge for me. After looking for awhile I decided the Burgman would be the right choice for me. He gave me my first lesson on Sun. and thinks I’d did really well. Hopefully I’ll be hitting the open road soon!! I guess I should mention that I’m over 50 and had not even put my hands on a set of handlebars before!!! So for me it’s exciting, challenging and a little frightening all at the same time. I know I’ll look back at this post in a few months and laugh!!!

We are so happy to have found this site because of all the info that riders are providing. My boyfriend will be helping me maintain my bike and has already learned from this site how to change the fluids etc. Thanks and Happy riding to all!! God Bless!”
