Beautiful Ride - VA to the Great Smoky Mountain Park

Grant Fetters sent in the following ride suggestion.

The Blue Ridge Parkway. It runs the ridges and peaks of the Smoky Mountains from Mid VA through North Carolina and ending up at the Great Smoky Mountain Park. Any time is a great ride and the Fall Color season is remarkable.

There are plenty of locations along the way to stop with hundreds of overlooks. The southern end of the blue ridge parkway has many tunnels to go through. one of the things to stop and see is Mt. Mitchell, which is the tallest point east of the Mississippi river.

The Blue Ridge Parkway has many citys along the trek to pull off and spend the night at or find places to eat. There are even park lodges on the parkway to eat and sleep. Wonderfull views and interesting places. Great Ride and some neat places to see. Plan a week and travel the full route.

Do You Have a Favorite Burgman Scooter Ride?

Pict from the forum had a great idea for us to be able to share ride maps and info with each other. So I went ahead and built the submission page for favorite ride information.

Rather than just make this a forum category, I’m asking people to submit information for inclusion here so I can organize it and make it easy to use for all.

I’m hoping that ride information submitted will include at least directions but, if available, maps, a description of what makes the ride special, GPS data files, pictures, etc. And maybe even a review of a favorite place to eat along the way.

I’d love to get your ride submissions to add to our Map Chest and share with all Burgman riders.
