I just finished installing a Givi windshield on my K8 Burgman 400. Your video was a great help. The instructions with the windshield are not worth much. I did encounter a little trouble putting in the front grommetts in the new windshield, but after lubing them and putting the bolt back in the grommett it went in fairly easily. I got all of the tools ready before I started and it went very quickly. I was probably finished in about 30 minutes. The ride is now much quieter and the wind goes over my head. I am 6′-3.5″ so I need the taller shield. Thanks again for a great video… Charlie

This is not in reguards to your artical,i have a problem hopfully one of your readers can solve.When i leave from a dead stop the bike chatters,from the drive train.It is worse when the bike is cold.It only has 1600 hundred miles on it.Any ideas,i have the factory manuel,does not mention a chatter problem. THANK YOU FOR ANY LIGHT YOU CAN SHINE ON THE SUBJECT,IT IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.I HAVE A WARENTEE BUT THEY HAVE A 3 WEEK WAIT TO LOOK AT IT,FORGET FIXING .

You weren’tt just a-woofing’ about those bad Givi instructions. I don’t know how anyone could figure out what’s supposed to happen that piece of paper.

If you’re ever in the Houston area, I’ll buy the beer. This saved me hours of frustration.

One little tip I’ll add from experience. Don’t put those little spacers in the plexigas until you’re ready to mount them or, alternatively, hold them in place with a bit of scotch tape. Those little beggers can roll a long ways

Excellent video. I purchased a Burgman 400 on e-bay 3 years ago and took a bus to San Antonia, Tx from Minnesota and rode it home. The seller was a very tall person 6′3″ so the Burgman 400 already had the taller Givi windshield installed. He also gave me the orginial stock windshield. I tried my son’s Burgman 400 with his stock windshield and did not like it. I have not used the original stock windshield but have it stored just in case I will need it. I ordered windshield for my Bugman from Twisted trottle-I received windshield pretty quickly (GIVI) but without any instructions or parts.What next?Is this normal??J.M.
